55 – Henderson, Mary – Wilson – Domestic Art Teacher. Married 5 children 8 grand-children. Worked at Echuca HS for 7 years and St Mary’s Nathalia for 20 years.
55 – Sutton, Trevor – – Worked on family farm and then managed own dairy farm for 26 years, married Lynne Finch in 1965, 3 children, moved to Cobram in 1985 and worked for Kraft foods as a Field Officer for 16 years. Now retired
55 – Stevens, Raymond – – Retiree and married to the number one dragon!
55 – Rome, Peter – – Went to Canada in 1964 to study chiropractic. Married a Canadian nurse. Two children and 6 grandchildren. Looking forward to catching up with Trevor Sutton and ‘Mozzie’ Graham. Big Time Bookies ! One Cup Day, a classmate (perhaps Bruce Martin ?) and I decided to run a S/P book on the Melbourne Cup. We convinced Mick Eardley the Geography teacher, into getting us a copy of the day’s newspaper with the Cup field in it. Being from Hungary, (I understand he was a refugee from the 1956 Hungarian Revolution) I am sure he did not realise what we were up to. One boy bet 2/-, a fair bit in those days for a pair of impecunious kids, and that made us worried about the fortune we could lose. We were doing a roaring trade, but by lunchtime we panicked and gave everyone their threepences and sixpences back ! As it turned out we would have made a nice profit if we hadn’t chickened out.
55 – Mitchell, Frank – – Lots – Have had several career options – Herd Testing, Telstra Linesman, Melb .Water as Draftsman/Technical Officer, Courier & finally doing Home Maintenance for last 5 yrs. Now retired to embark on touring. Married, have 3 children, 5 1/2 grand children.
